Extension & Alterations to United Fish Industries Plant, Killybegs, Co. Donegal. (factory remaining fully occupied and operational for the duration of the works).
The proposed works consist of Phase 1 and 2 of the reconstruction of the United Fish Industries, fish processing factory at Corporation, Killybegs. Work comprising of:
Decant of existing plant.
Demolition- Significant demolition work including removing existing ground floor slab & drainage, structure, wall & roof cladding and existing redundant plant, equipment & services. Demolition works carried out in a controlled fashion to protect in situ boilers worth in excess of two million euros. Temporary works design and execution by Stewart.
Piling – Piling operations in confined work areas using appropriate sized rigs incorporating CFA and odex piles.
Structural steel-erection of a steel portal/truss frames including 20 meter high evaporating housing. (total steel 250tons)
Roof and wall cladding – to achieve airtight building.
Extensive stainless steel underfloor drainage.
Internal in situ fair faced concrete walls and platform gantries.
Epoxy floor and wall finishes.
Mechanical and Electrical installations
Heavy lift plant installation.
External civil works.
