Official Opening of Mercy Secondary School, Kilbeggan, Co. Westmeath

We were delighted to attend the official opening on Thursday March 21st of Mercy Secondary School, Kilbeggan, Co. Westmeath.

Minister of Education Norma Foley was in attendance to cut the ribbon of this new two storey (650 pupil) School building.

Stewart Construction were the Main Contractors for this development on a greenfield site located approximately 500m to the east of the existing school, along the Dublin road. The new school building includes general teaching and administration rooms, PE hall with fitness suites, Special Education Needs unit and ancillary accommodation. Also included in the project were external stores, car park, bus and car set down facilities, 2 no. basketball courts, hard and grass play areas, soft landscaping, new vehicular and pedestrian site entrance and exit points, new boundaries and general site development works.

We offer our congratulations to Mercy Secondary School on this fine school building and to all involved in its delivery.
